Many couples request help to resolve their problems via polygraph. I have tried to discourage couples to consider alternatives and get help through an experienced and accredited marital therapist.
Many clients have concerns about their partner and it is not exclusively related to sexual themes. I will provide you with examples of why couples are requesting a polygraph:
- Is my partner emotionally cheating on me right now
- Is my partner speaking to a female that he wants to pursue an emotional relationship
- Does he love me
- Does he fantasize of other women when making love to me
- Does he have sexual feelings for the neighbour
- Does my husband ever had thoughts of leaving me
I will not administer a polygraph examination for clients pertaining to thoughts, urges, fantasies and other emotions. Polygraph does its job when I am able to target a specific issue that has alleged to have taken place.
